I've always been intrigued by the idea of food festivals. Any event that revolves around food is a good idea in my book. So when Nate and Kristal invited us to Taste of Abbot Kinney, we couldn't resist. The annual event began last year, involved all our favorite Abbot Kinney restaurants along with the best LA food trucks, and was a blast. The Slammin' Sliders food truck's sweet potato croquettes stood out as one of my favorite tastes of the day, but everything we tried was delicious.

This looks like SO much fun! I've never been to a food festival (although the Minnesota State Fair is more or less the highlight of my year thanks to the intense amount of food on a stick) but it's officially on my to-do list now!

Food festival, count me in! I think it is one of the best pasttimes...eating that is.
I love Abbot Kinney but haven't been down there in a while. What a fun place to do a food truck tasting!
Oh wow Valerie this looks awesome. I would love to dive in and get a taste of everything!! Those tacos look divine and it doesn't look like it was a mob scene either.

The sweet potato croquettes look amazing! Do you ever check out the basement/victorian lot on main street on Tuesday nights? They always have a variety of food trucks in the parking lot and a lot of them are super good :)
