The Sweater Dress

1. Modcloth Snug as a Pug Sweater Dress $64.99
3. Bird by Juicy Couture Cowl Neck Sweater Dress $400
4. Old Navy Boat Neck Sweater Dress $39.50

As I mentioned here, the sweater dress is one of my "go to" winter outfits when I don't have the time to get creative, but still want to look put together. I love the feeling of being wrapped up in a huge cozy knit on a cold day. I usually pair mine with tights, boots, and chunky accessories. Here are a few sweater dresses that look just as comfy as they are chic. Which one is your favorite?

I'm SO happy I got my Express sweater dress a month or so ago. I plan on getting a lot of wear out of it!

Valerie-I agree-one of my favorite looks as well and since some days I work from home it's great to throw on one of these w/ leggings for a comfortable look and if I go out I can put on some boots. I love #3 -oh man I just went back up and looked at the price! Why do I always pick the expensive ones? Anyway love #3. Which is your favorite?

Coming back from 90% tropical humity to 100% rain...I'm going to need a sweater dress. Love the Modcloth pug dress. Anything white with pug in the name is a keeper for sure.

I love these, especially with tights. I was just planning out my holiday outfits, and it definitely includes a sweater dress. I am really liking the one from Old Navy and Juicy. Given my budget, I think Old Navy will win.

PS - I was in Fresno for Gemma's surprise 30th. I saw Lucia and she told funny stories of you and Gemma eating her Easter candy she'd saved for months.

I'm stuck between Aubin and Wills and Juicy Couture, but these are all great picks!
Thanks for your comment! I'm following you now -- I'd love it if you wanted to follow too :)

Valerie, you read my mind! I'm on the hunt for new sweater dresses this week! It's hard to pick, but I think #1 might be my fav! Thanks for the ideas :) xo

The Aubin & Wills dress is absolutely to DIE for! The color is phenomenal, and I love the neckline and pockets -- too cute. I'm entirely too obsessed with sweater dresses right now; it's getting pretty bad.

I really love the ModCloth sweater (#1) And I almost don't mind getting out of bed in the morning when I have warm items like these to put on! ;)

Valerie look what time it is and I'm just getting to read your blog?? I NEEED retirement so badly. :(

Anyway.

I'm with you on the sweater dress. It's such a simple solution that is so chic. I have a grey Martin+Osa one that I slip on with tights and boots or skinny denim and boots. It is a life saver - out the door with a jacket and scarf!

Hope you had a great weekend visiting your fam. I scoured my pictures for a wood wall to send to you - will keep digging. That is so awesome!!

xoxo,
Carrie
