Weekend Recap

Sarah's baby, Sophie
my nieces, Keshley and Kylee

My visit to Fresno was so much fun. It was so nice to see Sarah and meet baby Sophie (who is adorable, tiny, and really fun to hold), to spend time with my family, and see my nieces. It always amazes me how much toddlers change in just a few weeks. It's times like these when I wish I lived closer and could see them all the time. As usual, the weekend went by way too quickly. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again during the upcoming holidays!

Oh, what a gorgeous baby! And your nieces are adorable, Valerie -- it must be hard to be away from them so much but the holidays luckily mean a lot of family time!

Valerie - This post gave me a lump in my throat. Sophie is so beautiful and your nieces are a couple of little sasses! Love them!! I know just how you feel about how quickly they change and how much we miss out on. I realized the other day that I haven't seen my niece for more than 4 or 5 months total of all her 4 (almost 5) years. And when I took her to school for her first day I cried my eyes out because I missed out on so much of all the years she was at home full-time.

Ugh. Makes me want to move home.

Wonderful post despite my lamentations :)

xoxo,
Carrie
ps-can you see the pictures on my blog? i think 5 people have said they can't?
