The Maxi Dress
Yumi Kim Natalie Dress $215
Rachel Pally Two Tone Halter Dress $233
Rachel Pally Long Fortuna Dress $251
BCBG Sunset Palm Maxi Dress $168
Susana Monaco Light Supplex Twisted Maxi Dress $200
For the past 2 summers, I've literally lived in my maxi dresses. They're so comfortable, easy to throw on, and look polished for day or night. While I'm not sure if I'll be buying many new ones this season, I'm so happy to see that they're still in style and better than ever! I've accumulated quite a collection and can't wait to wear them again this summer. These are a few of the maxis that have recently caught my attention (especially the Yumi Kim dress). How do you feel about maxi dresses?

I adore maxi dresses for summer. They are so comfy:)Rachel Pally's dress would be perfect for a date night:)
I agree that the Yumi Kim dress is beautiful :)
Kisses :)
Great post!
Love them! Although my husband always says I look like a hippie in them. Who cares! They're comfortable and you can seriously get away with wearing them anywhere! You've picked out some great ones here! Good luck shopping for some new ones. :)
I have always been a big fan of mini skirts and love showing off tan legs through the summer. But, I've grown to love maxi dresses as well. They somehow make anyone feel elegant and more sophisticated when wearing one.
The Rachel Pally Long Fortuna Dress is especially beautiful!
I LOVE maxi dresses although I have a hard time with them since I'm so short. Ann Taylor's maxi dresses always seem to be the right length though! I agree that they look great day or night, casual or polished! :)
I’m so glad they’re still in style too and you’re absolutely right about what you said. They’re so comfortable and look stylish day or night. The Yumi Kim is my favorite of the bunch and I also really like the Susana Monoco.
Love them all! You're right, they can be super casual and playful or sexy for going out. I bought 2 last summer but I should def add a couple more to my closet this year.

I absolutely LOVE the second and third dresses, of course I picked the most expensive two on your list.. why do I always do that??
I had one... and after wearing it realized how ridiculous I looked. It was too short, so I cut it. I'll definitely be looking for another one this summer!

...and everything girly under the sun!
Not sure they would be flattering on my shape, but I love them on others :)
Love them! I have a new one coming my way soon and can't wait. I agree with you about how comfortable and versatile they are! Great post!

Ooh those all look fabulous. I bet with your rockin body, you look amazing in the maxi! =) I always feel like maxis look weird on me and it is sad because some people just make them look amazing.
i wish i could wear a long maxi dress, but i'm afraid i'm too short and would look silly in one. oh well! <3

I've never owned nor worn a maxi dress, but this summer I'm really looking for one. Your picks are beautiful; I think Rachel Pally's is my favourite.
I agree 100%! I love maxi dresses! Just did a post on my love for them about 2 weeks ago! Thanks for following girl - I am now doing the same. I just adore your blog :)

Agreed, I'm feeling maxi dresses and jumped on that bandwagon last summer.

Maxi dresses are amazingness! I'm hoping they stay in season for quite awhile. They're versatile, and just so darned comfy :)
I secretly couldn't stand maxi dresses, but that Rachel Pally halter singlehandedly converted me. It's amazing!
I love your choices, especially the Susana Monaco one! I have yet to actually don one myself. I am pretty short, and I worry about it making me look shorter. I may give it a try this summer!
