Breathe Easy

The beach

Whenever I'm having a stressful day and need to decompress and relax I turn to a few different activities to aid in my mental (and sometimes physical) health. These are a few of my favorite relaxation/unwinding/mental health activities:

yoga
long runs
going to the beach
bike rides
chats/activities with my husband, girl friends, family, etc
reading a good book
baking/cooking

I'm hoping to do lots of relaxing over the weekend. What are your favorite ways to relax?

I like to relax by hanging out with my wife. I'd be relaxing in a hospital bed if I tried that crazy yoga pose.

You're clearly a yoga PRO. I just started taking classes and I'm only able to fake my way through it thanks to my balance and flexibility, courtesy my gymnastics/competitive cheer days... NO WAY could I do that craziness!
I relax by baking, napping, and reading magazines -- I just wish I had more time for it :)

VAL! You are AMAZING! I can't believe that Yoga pose!!! INCREDIBLE! My favorite ways to de-stress/relax? Napping on the beach, Enjoying a meal with Bunz/friends, Going for a walk, Watching Apple Movie Trailers, Painting.

OMG Look at your legs! I have seen this pose before and have never been able to accomplish it. I now bow before you, Yoga Princess!!!!
That list sounds like great ways to destress. I enjoy reading, getting a work out it, putting on something fabulous, and watching good movies =)

aw, those are all great ways to relieve stress. I like to drink a cup of irish tea, read a book, BALLET! i love dance, it makes me feel so much better! <3

That's you, yoga-ing? wow, I'm so impressed!

I'm easily pleased when it comes to relaxing mode these days. I can sit in a park and read or just sit, drink coffee and watch the people go by. All the better if I get to do it alone.

One of my favorite ways to relax (especially in the winter) is to go to a sauna/turkish bath! Does wonders to my mood and skin :)
