I had the most relaxing weekend, filled with long walks, beach side bike rides, Thai food, tacos, and a movie night at home (we finally saw The Fighter and loved it).  It feels like Spring has finally arrived and we took full advantage of the 80 degree weather by spending most of our time outdoors.  How was your weekend?

Scenes from the Weekend

Gabe's so happy!

Hillstone's (Houston's) French Dip
Gabe finally had a weekend off and we spent it riding our bikes at the beach, walking to breakfast, relaxing at home, watching movies, and enjoying the beautiful weather.  Saturday night we went to dinner in celebration of Gabe passing his Boards!  The overall feeling of the weekend was joyous and giddy because of it.  Congratulations on such a huge accomplishment, Gabe!  You're the smartest man alive!

Rainy Weekend

It's supposed to rain most of the weekend and I have to admit I'm looking forward to a relaxing few days indoors.  I'm hoping to watch movies (my favorites are listed here), bake cookies, play board games, eat comfort food (I'm making this for dinner tonight), and read.  I can't imagine a better way to spend a rainy weekend. I'll be back on Tuesday to tell you all about it.  How do you spend your free time when it's raining?

As always, I feel a sense of relief that Friday is finally here.  I'm looking forward to a weekend filled with sunshine, happy hour with friends, a dinner date with Gabe, a facial, and maybe even a trip to the beach.  What do you have planned?  Have a great weekend!

After a week filled with Christmas music, online shopping, holiday dates, and of course work, I'm excited the weekend is here. Mine will consist of a wine and cheese party, brunch with a girl friend, more Christmas shopping and movies, yoga, and a dinner date with Gabe. What do you have planned for the weekend? I hope it's a great one!

Weekend Recap

Who doesn't love the pajamas with the feet?
Although we were in LA for Thanksgiving day (Gabe was working), we were able to spend the weekend with my family and have our Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday. In typical holiday fashion, it was filled with a ton of food, wine, family, friends, and fun. We gave thanks for all our blessings and enjoyed a wonderful holiday weekend. We're looking forward to heading back in a month for Christmas!

Friday Plans

pumpkin patch

Regardless of how long or short my week has been, there's always an overwhelming sense of relief on Friday. This week is no exception and I'm practically giddy that the weekend is upon us. My weekend will entail dinner with girlfriends, Saturday brunch, yoga, Halloween themed baking and crafts, and hopefully the pumpkin patch (depending on Gabe's work schedule). I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! What are your plans?

Happy Birthday, grandma!

After what seemed like a very long week, I'm so thankful that today is Friday. This weekend I'm planning on having dinner with girlfriends, practicing yoga, reading Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella, getting a facial for spa week, and organizing my closet. What do you have planned for the weekend?

I also want to wish my dad and grandma a very happy birthday! I love you both and can't wait to celebrate with you next weekend.

A Place in the Sun

photos by Raya Carlisle

It finally feels like summer weather in Southern California. The warm, sunny days are much appreciated after many gloomy months. I plan on spending the majority of my weekend at the beach, doing yoga, riding my beach cruiser, and visiting with friends. What do you have planned for the weekend? Hope you all have a great one!
