Over the holiday week spent with our families, there was never a shortage of smiles.  We were all delighted to be together for Christmas and the convivial spirit was infectious.  As adults, the holidays often bring chaos and stress, but that all seems to disappear the minute I see my nieces happy faces and the joy that Christmas brings them.  As usual, I feel a bit of the "post-holiday blues" this year, but looking at the pictures brings me back to a happy place.

Who doesn't love the pajamas with the feet?

Although we were in LA for Thanksgiving day (Gabe was working), we were able to spend the weekend with my family and have our Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday. In typical holiday fashion, it was filled with a ton of food, wine, family, friends, and fun. We gave thanks for all our blessings and enjoyed a wonderful holiday weekend. We're looking forward to heading back in a month for Christmas!

My visit to Fresno was so much fun. It was so nice to see Sarah and meet baby Sophie (who is adorable, tiny, and really fun to hold), to spend time with my family, and see my nieces. It always amazes me how much toddlers change in just a few weeks. It's times like these when I wish I lived closer and could see them all the time. As usual, the weekend went by way too quickly. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again during the upcoming holidays!

Our weekend in Fresno was filled with family, friends, and birthday celebrations. We celebrated my little brother Johnnie's 24th birthday on Saturday and I was able to see my niece Kylee (along with the rest of my family) which is always so exciting for me. We also had lunch with our friends Sarah and Chase and made it to Lucia's sister Lisa's 40th Birthday party after dinner at my parents' house. One of the highlights of the night was watching the DJ who sang and danced alone outside during the entire party. We finally noticed him and gave him the credit he deserved for being the true life of the party. It reminded Johnnie and me of this clip from Happy Gilmore.
