I generally don't do New Year's resolutions, but this year I decided to write down a few things that I've been working on in 2010 and will continue to strive toward in 2011. What are your resolutions/goals for 2011?
-renew my passport (I still haven't changed it to my married name)
-always have fresh milk and eggs in the refrigerator
-enjoy the little things-after dinner walks, morning coffee, visits with family and friends, fresh sheets, haircuts, sunsets, etc.
-be adventurous with new recipes, cook outside my comfort zone
-spend less, save more, listen intently, and stay organized
-simplify

I STILL havent changed my name on everything yet and we've been married over 4 years. Kinda ridiculous at this point, I should definitely make that a resolution this year!
great simple resolutions i may adopt a few of these as well!

i love the idea of setting intentions! i do it for an hr long yoga class, why not every day?!
I'll take one of each please. Except the passport; I need to GET one in the first place! Terrible, I know!!!
I still need to change my passport too! Such a process!

I hadn't thought about/usually don't make resolutions, but your list honestly just made me realize that I have the exact same ones floating around in my mind! Thanks for solidifying them a bit :) I completely keep forgetting about #1 (and it's been 1 year and 4 months now!) Thanks, Valerie :) Happy New Year to you and Gabe! xo

really good resolutions! I just discovered your blog. Love reading over the posts. Really want to try that cheese cake.
Happy New Year! All your resolutions are so great and actually a few are ones I am including in my resolutions as well!
Good luck with it all!
Great list. I too want to focus on enjoying the small things. My morning coffee and blog reading keeps me sane, yet I take it for granted.
funny I actually need to get an American passport. I have a Canadian one but have lived in the States so long now! It's on my to do list for 2011! And I love keeping resolutions simple yet specific (like yours!) I hope to cook more delicious and healthy meals. I am starting with tonight's meal of salmon, cous cous and garlic spinach! Happy New Year Valerie.
enjoy the little things and live simply...those are good!
I think those are good resolutions, V - and attainable.
The beach shots of you and Gabe are so cute :)

I was thinking of your intention post the other day when I was in yoga class. This is one of my favorite posts.
