See's Candy
I can't even imagine the holidays without dreaming of See's candy. I know it's available year round, but my family has countless boxes of See's milk chocolates around for Christmas every year and as we all know, this is the time to splurge. When I first met Gabe he was amazed at how I could tell him exactly what was in each piece, just by looking (since there isn't a See's candy "key"). I told him I had a "gift", but really it's just years of practice and biting into something unexpected that helped me create my list of See's Candy favorites. One year I went to the See's store and bought a 2 pound box of JUST my hand selected favorites. Can you imagine the danger involved in having that in your home? It was pure bliss. And while I'll eat almost any of them, these are at the top of my list. What's your favorite See's candy?
1. Milk Chocolate Bordeaux
2. California Brittle
3. Scotchmallow
4. Milk Butterchew
5. Peanut Butter Patties
6. Butterscotch Square
7. Molasses Chips
8. P-Nut Crunch
9. Milk Pattie Vanilla Caramel

I LOVE this post, Val. I can honestly say that I am a See's addict. So much so that I go every time I am at the mall to get a free "sample." #1 and #3 are my fav!

I love See's!! So delicious! I'm a big Fannie May lover too because of my grandma. I used to eat all the chocolates and leave the papers in the box! haha she always knew it was me. What can I say? I'm a sucker for vanilla buttercreams :)
Milk chocolate and caramel -- BAM. Done. It's just sooooo tasty! I love that you can tell what they all are without having to bite into each one... I realize it took practice but being able to remember is certainly a gift!

We got a box at work last week and you know I was grabbing the Milk Pattie Vanilla Caramels. The Scotchmallows are always gone first.
Quite a talent you have. I usually squish them and put them back in the box :/
These is the best pic..they all look soooo good, but I would definitely go with the P-Nut Crunch :)
Hope you're having a great day, Valerie! xo
Haha, years of practice, I love it :)
They all sound delicious!
Love See's too- my mom always buys the boxes around the holidays...soo tempting!
Girl you are singing my song, but I clearly need to take some lessons from you on the See's song. I busted up b/c you clearly have it down!!
See's is a fave of mine too. My selections go like this as I walk along the counter:
I'll take the toffee-ettes, the dark peanut cup, the dark almond cup, the dark walnut cup, the dark coconut cup, okay i'll take all the dark cups and a milk truffle.
It's a hot mess. And then I eat them all I'm shopping and strolling, come home and find chocolate on my mouth or shirt. It's really kind of sick, but that's the way I roll!
xo,

I agree. It's not the holidays without it :)
These all look so yummy! I wouldn't be able to stop with just one! Very dangerous! lol
See's candy - oh my word! I love that stuff! My favorite is the Kona Mocha. Unfortunately, we don't have See's candy in Florida, so we have to order it to get any. :( So sad. Between See's and In n Out, I miss CA so much!
One of my all time favorite candies as See's are the toffeettes. Love, love, love them! Sometimes I buy the small canister. Sinful, but oh so good!
Yum! Scotchmallows are definitely my favorites. Chase and I buy entire boxes of just those.
Oh wow, a post to bring back memories! I haven't had See's candies since I was a child :) They're impossible to get here in France, but now I have a chocolate craving hehe. You have a lovely blog :)

These look DELICIOUS!!! =)
I would love to try the scotchmellow one =) I would also have to add something with salt and caramel. My favorite combo!
See's is my weakness! Nothing better than posting up in front the the TV with a box of Nuts and Chews and going to town. Um...wow. Painful admission! haha.
there is something special about see's. we used to always bring them to my great grandmother's and she would eat the whooole box!

Whoah that is a pretty awesome talent to have haha!
Imagine if See's Candies was a category on Jeopardy... you'd kick ass :)
I have heard of See's, but have never had the pleasure of giving them a try. Looks super yummy!
Choc and pb! Ooh and caramel
honestly I am not sure if I have tried Sees chocolate. I might have??? Anyway the milk chocolate one and the brittle, and the P nut crunch sound yummy. I have been eating Reeses pb cups way too much lately!
5 and 9 are my favorites too! We only have sees when my godmother comes to visit and I savor it for sure!
The milk choclate Bordeaux are my favorite. Growing up, and even today, my grandparents (on both sides) always had See's on the table during large family dinners. I now live in OKC and See's is only at a mall kiosk in December, not all year...since I host Thanksgiving at my house, I make sure to order a box online so it can be on my table. You can even customize a box with exactly what you want in it. Amazing. See's is just a huge comfort for me. A bit of home and family. So anyway, this post made me smile. And i totally challange you to a "what's inside" contest. I too claim to be a pro!
Love this candy! I've been eating it with my man and we are always trying to figure out what is inside, so thanks for the pic!
oh schnick. u're the queen of Sees! I can't believe you can name every single one. you should put that on your resume
Ha, Ha- Love Gabe's comment:).
I love #7 and a chocolate truffle that I can't remember the name of! (I'm not nearly as impressive of you when it comes to naming the candies and the ingredients!!)
Mmm, chocolate!!! Tis the season for such great treats.
