Christmas Movies

Home Alone {via}

How The Grinch Stole Christmas {via}

Four Christmases {via}

Love, Actually {via}

Elf {via}

Now that it's December, I'm in full holiday movie mode. I watch at least a couple different Christmas movies every week (or at least have them on in the background while I'm cooking, wrapping, etc) and I'm always adding to my "annual must watch" list. These are the movies I'll be watching this year during our many Christmas movie marathons. What are your favorite holiday movies?

Elf
Love, Actually
Home Alone (1&2)
The Holiday
A Charlie Brown Christmas
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the cartoon)
Four Christmases

Definitely with Katie on the Christmas Vacation movie: Chevy Chase and Christmas? Yes, please!

Always Love, Actually as well.

I remember watching a movie in the 80s called One Magic Christmas; it had Mary Steenburgen in it. It was the best kids Christmas movie.

Okay... here's a few more (most are on our yearly list:)...

Christmas Vacation
A Christmas Story
A Nightmare Before Christmas
Edward Scissorhands (although I haven't seen that in ages!)
Not a 'big screen', but I MUST watch Yogi Bear's Christmas (on TV Land) every year (a childhood tradition)!
Okay- I'm writing a book here, but I'm kind of having fun (too much fun:)...
Scrooged (LOVE that movie!)
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
The Polar Express

And I like the classics...
It's a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th Street
... and an old version of The Christmas Carol (like the accents:)

Okay, I think that's it! (I'm saving this list... along with yours!)

I just saw 4 Christmases and it was great! I loved all of it. The Grinch is definitely a cartoon I watch every year, as well as home alone. I don't know what it is, but home alone really makes me think of Christmas!

Great picks!

IT'S a Wonderful Life for sure
Love Actually

and A Christmas Story! We keep TBS on all day on Christmas day when they play it for 24 hours, and just pop in, sit down for a few min, laugh, and then go about our business cooking.

My all time favourite Christmas movie is White Christmas, probably because it's my grandmother's fave and we watch it every year while getting the food ready on Christmas Eve.

Oh, I have SO many. White Christmas, The Santa Clause, Home Alone (also 1 and 2), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (I'm for the cartoon as well!), Love Actually, and I'll admit it -- those cheesy ones on ABC Family and The Hallmark Channel are sometimes just SO quality that I can't pass them up.

Love these! I always watch The Holiday, Love Actually, A Christmas Story, Elf, The Santa Clause and not really a holiday movie but, my Dad and I always watch The Sound of Music around the holidays.

Plus anything cheesy. I'm talking ABC Family, Lifetime, Hallmark. You name it, I probably watch it. haha

I love these!! Bring.it.on! Last night I watched part of Home Alone 2 and am so looking forward to that crazy Elf.

Admission: Polar Express is my all-time fave. I turn into a 5 year old and cry. When it was on IMAX I went multiple times 2 years in a row and screamed 'Polar Bear Express' running across the parking lot. No wonder my ex dumped me. ha!
