The Ultimate Dry Shampoo

While the dry shampoo phenomenon is relatively new, I've been using some form of dry shampoo for many years. It all started with baby powder. Then I realized that an old bronzer (that I no longer used on my face) worked wonders on yesterday's blow dry (Hula by Benefit to be exact). Then I graduated to Buttercream Cosmetics shampowder and then onto Ojon and Bumble and Bumble products. But only recently have I stumbled upon the ultimate dry shampoo. It's Oscar Blandi's Pronto Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray. It's an aerosol with a very light lemon scent that works on all hair colors. In my opinion, it's definitely the best one on the market. It doesn't leave my brown hair looking white and powdery, it smells nice without being overwhelming, and it adds volume and freshness to a day or two old blow dry. I'll give Buttercream Cosmetics hair powder an honorable mention because it was my number one pick until I came across the Oscar Blandi product and I still use it from time to time. Try them out, you won't be sorry.

Valerie-I have not seen this product but since I have dark brown hair I should give it a try too. I have used Rene Furterer for years and love their version of dry shampoo. (I blogged about it too b/c I love it) But, I am going to have to try out your recommendation. :)

I've never officially used a dry shampoo, but years ago while traveling to the Dominican Republic (not a resort at all) was staying with a local family that didn't have running water...so needless to say, I too used baby powder and it worked like a charm! I'll have to check this out also!

I've really been wanting to try a dry shampoo. I have oily hair and have to wash my hair every single day or it looks terrible. Wonder if that helps oily hair or is just from flattened hair??

I'll miss that powdered donut in the morning look, and I have been wondering what the lemons scent was.

I absolutely agree on the Oscar dry shampoo! The Tresemme stuff I bought was ok but it was obviously only $6 and sometimes you get what you paid for. I just bought this the other day at Sephora and am in lovvvvve!

I am a dry shampoo JUNKIE. My hair tends to be oily at the root no matter what I do and honestly without it I would die. I used to use baby powder, but my hair is REALLY dark so you can imagine what a disaster that was like. Right now I rotate between a few, one is Rockaholic Dirty Secret, Big Sexy Hair, and Rene Furterber. Each are a little different. I ALWAYS searching for the next one that is even better. I used Ojon for awhile but the cans always got clogged before they were gone.
Anyway I am definitely gonna give this OScar Blandi one a try! :)

I need to try this. My hair is so thin, it gets oily fast and I know washing it everyday isn't good. Thanks so much for the product info!

I have used dry shampoos a few times. The one I have now works for me becuase I have blonde hair - and it smells amazing - but I imagine brunettes wouldn't be fond of the white it leaves on the scalp.

Valerie I've been seriously wanting to try this stuff (never have used it but so curious for years), but always worry it wouldn't work since I'm a brunette. Thanks so much for sharing your findings. I think I have to give it a whirl.

And btw - Gabe's comment has me rolling over here. bahahaha!! hilarious!!

i feel like i need to go out & purchase this right now.... good thing the mall is closed since it's 9:30 hehe.

i am SO lazy w/ my hair, it only take 15-20 tops to blowdry and straighten, but i still only do it once in a while.

I think this product could be my new best friend :)
