The Ultimate Dry Shampoo
While the dry shampoo phenomenon is relatively new, I've been using some form of dry shampoo for many years. It all started with baby powder. Then I realized that an old bronzer (that I no longer used on my face) worked wonders on yesterday's blow dry (Hula by Benefit to be exact). Then I graduated to Buttercream Cosmetics shampowder and then onto Ojon and Bumble and Bumble products. But only recently have I stumbled upon the ultimate dry shampoo. It's Oscar Blandi's Pronto Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray. It's an aerosol with a very light lemon scent that works on all hair colors. In my opinion, it's definitely the best one on the market. It doesn't leave my brown hair looking white and powdery, it smells nice without being overwhelming, and it adds volume and freshness to a day or two old blow dry. I'll give Buttercream Cosmetics hair powder an honorable mention because it was my number one pick until I came across the Oscar Blandi product and I still use it from time to time. Try them out, you won't be sorry.

never tried tried shampoo (well I am not sure if trying it out in the store counts :/ )
I've always been curious about dry shampoo but have heard endless horror stories - thanks for a rec on a good one though!
Valerie-I have not seen this product but since I have dark brown hair I should give it a try too. I have used Rene Furterer for years and love their version of dry shampoo. (I blogged about it too b/c I love it) But, I am going to have to try out your recommendation. :)

I've never tried a try shampoo but I think I might have to after reading your recommendation!
Huh, I've always been curious about dry shampoo. Maybe I'll get it a whirl.
my best friend swears by dry shampoo - i forget the one she loves .. but my hair is too fine and thin - i just don't think it'll work good for me :o( ..
Will have to try it. Thanks!
I've never officially used a dry shampoo, but years ago while traveling to the Dominican Republic (not a resort at all) was staying with a local family that didn't have running water...so needless to say, I too used baby powder and it worked like a charm! I'll have to check this out also!
I've heard of this one! Sounds really great!!
xx

Thanks for the tip Val, def going to pick some up TODAY!! So sick of blow drying every other day!!
What have I been missing!! I use to use babypowder.. but since I became a brunette.. not the best idea! Im going to try that... Thanks!
I have never actually used dry shampoo of any sort, but I've been curious about it for some time. Since I have dark hair, I'll make sure to take your tip on this one and give it a try!
Ohh, I've not tried that one! I tried another version of the Oscar Blandi but didn't like it as much as the Bumble & Bumble. I'll have to give this one a try! Thanks.
I do the baby powder thing and bumble and bumble does have a GREAT product. Hmm Thanks for the info girl! I may have to try this product too :) xoxo
I've really been wanting to try a dry shampoo. I have oily hair and have to wash my hair every single day or it looks terrible. Wonder if that helps oily hair or is just from flattened hair??
I'll miss that powdered donut in the morning look, and I have been wondering what the lemons scent was.
I've never before used a dry shampoo, but I definitely need to give one a whirl! Fabulous review, Valerie - I need to pick up Oscar Blandi's immediately!! :)
I love the Invisible Dry Shampoo Spray too!:D
Never heard of Buttercream Cosmetics, thanks for the link!:D
Happy Thursday!:D

I absolutely agree on the Oscar dry shampoo! The Tresemme stuff I bought was ok but it was obviously only $6 and sometimes you get what you paid for. I just bought this the other day at Sephora and am in lovvvvve!
I am a dry shampoo JUNKIE. My hair tends to be oily at the root no matter what I do and honestly without it I would die. I used to use baby powder, but my hair is REALLY dark so you can imagine what a disaster that was like. Right now I rotate between a few, one is Rockaholic Dirty Secret, Big Sexy Hair, and Rene Furterber. Each are a little different. I ALWAYS searching for the next one that is even better. I used Ojon for awhile but the cans always got clogged before they were gone.
Anyway I am definitely gonna give this OScar Blandi one a try! :)

oooh nice, i was using next day spray by mark till i ran out. i will have to check this out.
I need to try this. My hair is so thin, it gets oily fast and I know washing it everyday isn't good. Thanks so much for the product info!

I have used dry shampoos a few times. The one I have now works for me becuase I have blonde hair - and it smells amazing - but I imagine brunettes wouldn't be fond of the white it leaves on the scalp.
Valerie I've been seriously wanting to try this stuff (never have used it but so curious for years), but always worry it wouldn't work since I'm a brunette. Thanks so much for sharing your findings. I think I have to give it a whirl.
And btw - Gabe's comment has me rolling over here. bahahaha!! hilarious!!

Great review! I've heard great things about this brand as well. hugs ;)
I've never tried dried shampoo. Great to hear of a good product to use though. I could definitely use something like this!
Oh I've been so curious about the dry shampoo! I usually try to go a few days in between washing - thats when my hair looks the best (less friz) ;)
Thanks, doll! I've never used dry shampoo but I've always been so obsessed with the idea. Will have to give the Oscar Blandi stuff a try!

very excited to try this one. I hate the powdery residue and smell of most sprays.
I am obsessed with finding the perfect dry shampoo and the Oscar Blandi one is def one of the best I've found so far... Can't wait to try the shampowder though - I love that its made for different hair colors!
Must try it!

i feel like i need to go out & purchase this right now.... good thing the mall is closed since it's 9:30 hehe.
i am SO lazy w/ my hair, it only take 15-20 tops to blowdry and straighten, but i still only do it once in a while.
I think this product could be my new best friend :)
I too have been a baby powder offender ; / I think I'll give one of these a try ; )
I've never heard of the Oscar Blandi brand... I wonder if we have it in Canada... I'll look for it! Thnx for the tip :)
I'm a big fan of dry shampoo. My mom is a hair stylist and I love getting constant hair products! Especially when I'm having 'hair issues.' :)
I live by dry shampoo! i used to use baby powder in high school but have been using Batiste Dry Shampoo for the last year and love it!
i've been meaning to try this... in Miami your blow dry barely lasts a day because of the humidity...
