Summer in the City

Forever 21 dress, J Crew Belt and bracelet, Tiffany & Co necklace, H&M ring, Nordstrom clutch, Nine West pumps, Ray-Ban sunglasses

While it didn't reach record temperatures in Santa Monica this summer, last weekend was actually sunny and relatively warm (highs of around 68 degrees). Gabe and I were able to walk to dinner on Sunday and enjoy being outside without sleeves. As I mentioned here I've been enamored of florals lately and decided to wear this Forever 21 dress before it officially became too cold to wear it without a jacket (which I fully intend to do this Fall). In fact, I've been pulling out all my summer dresses and sandals and wearing them as often as possible lately before summer's over. Is there anything you're trying to squeeze in while the warm weather is still upon us?

Oh you look amazing! Love the outfit, so perfect for summer. I can't believe you're having highs of 68! Our highs are pushing 100 with the heat index well over 100. It'll be hot until November at least. Miserable.

Great look and I bet you guys had a blast:)

Love your outfit posts Valerie and you look stunning as usual. So, I love the metallic bag, adore the floral dress (and yes trying to wear all mine before the end of the month), and I am huge fan of the shoes :) I am so loving that color for the fall as well.

Very nice choice with the pumps to go with the dress! I wouldn't have thought of that.

First of all, you look gorgeous. I love everything about your outfit, especially your adorable dress.
I have so many dresses I haven't gotten to wear yet! I'm really hoping it will stay warm into September because I need to squeeze them in!

Anything I'm trying to squeeze into??
... Yes EVERYTHING... since (as you saw on the recent post) I've been doing too much 'recipe experimenting' (and eating!!) and too little exercising!

You are very welcome for the feature:).

I love this dress on you! Great colors, great silhouette!
I am thinking that the minute we accept that we had no summer and we let it go to embrace fall, we're gonna get a heat wave! Watch September be hot!! It would totally figure! LOL

Oh I am so jealous it has been freezing in SF all summer! Luckily I've been able to get out of town to wear my summery clothes and dresses! And you can definitely transition that little floral number into fall with chunky sweaters and boots!

Gah! You seriously look like a supermodel. LOVE that dress and those pumps on you; though I'm especially adoring your hair - the style is very Old Hollywood Glamour (a la Veronica Lake)...gorg!

I'm just counting down the days until fall, to be honest - I want to wear my boots!! :)

You are hot sauce in that dress Val. Love the shoes too. Hel-loooo to fall with a little jacket over it too. Whatever, we're in fall-like conditions.

Don't know if you read Bumpkin's blog, but she passed away so I can't do the commenting madness today. Just don't have it in me.
