Scarves for a Cause

My friend Minka is involved with an amazing organization called Mocha Club and she just returned from Ethiopia and Kenya on a trip to help women and children in these countries. Mocha Club is a non-profit organization that funds relief and developmental projects in Africa. They're currently selling these beautiful scarves made by Ethiopian women in order to provide jobs and fund rehabilitation of other women affected by poverty in Africa. For $15, these scarves not only make a fashion statement, but also create opportunities for these women. Check out her video (and online order form if you're interested) here.

Valerie-the scarf is beautiful and I would be happy to purchase one to assist with this initiative. Both my parents were born and raised in Kenya and I have been there a few times as well...so Kenya is very near and dear to our hearts. It is amazing to see such support of the local women and children in both Ethiopia and Kenya. Have a great weekend!
